Applications Engineer

Dear Friends, We have urgent opening for ' Applications Engineer' at Pune. Job Description: Applications Engineer The Applications Engineer is responsible for working directly with customers, the internal development organization, sales/FAEs and other members of company's Applications Engineering team. In this capacity it is the direct responsibility of this individual to provide technical support, applications know how and training to use company's microprocessor development tools. Responsibilities: · Provide support for development tools, specifically software development tools used with the Core products. · Provide customer training for general product overviews and specialized subjects of system modeling · Track and resolve customer issues via customer support database · Resolve audio codec related problems generally associated with unique customer situations · Assist customers with integrating company's microprocessors into their hardware/ASIC design, as well as optimizing their application software. · Influence future company's products by providing customer feedback back to the hardware and software development groups at head quarters. · Work closely with Applications Engineering group located in USA to stay up-to-date with the latest tools and architecture. · Candidate will report to Team Lead Requirements: · BS in EE/CS (MS preferred) or equivalent plus 4 to 6 years work experience. · In-depth understanding of Computer architecture, RISC processors, DSPs · Experience/ familiarity in front end Verilog/VHDL design, Synthesis and backend process (Layout/Place & Route) · Understanding of embedded systems, software flows and experience with software tools, IDE. · Application domain knowledge(in areas of DSP, networking etc) , audio/video codec development experience would be a big plus · Willingness to resolve Customer problems in both software and hardware domains. · Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good problem solving skills. · Able to travel extensively in India and 2 to 6-weeks per year to US, Europe and Asia pacific.
